Welcome @ PD2ASN
Qth : Assen – JO32GX – The Netherlands
Hi, my name is Pasqual, and I’ve been registered as an amateur radio operator since 2013. I’ve been playing with CB radios since my youth, which sparked my interest in amateur radio. From the 27 MHz band to the HF bands, both digital and analog, it opened up a whole new world for me. Currently, I’m not very active due to a recent move to a place where I can’t set up antennas.
To still be able to participate, I use Echolink to connect to repeaters, and via RemoteHams i can access HF. However, this is of course not desirable and feels a bit like cheating. So, I hope to find a solution for my antenna issue soon.
In the past, I was a sysop of a packet radio BBS on the 27 MHz band, and I derived immense enjoyment from it. Internet wasn’t readily available for the average person back then, and this was a perfect way to communicate and send files to other people. In today’s times, you hardly come across this anymore, except for a few exceptions. Nevertheless, I do intend to revisit this technology in the future.
At the moment, I’m not a member of a club, and I also don’t engage in QSL cards for the simple reason that I’m not making connections, and the hobby is on hold. When I’m ready and have things in order, I will rejoin a club.
Thank you for checking out my web page. I will update it soon as I have a winter project on hand. When I start with it, I will showcase it here.
Greetings and ’73, Pasqual
